Police showcase their jobs to girls

Girls throughout the city were treated to special Take a Girl Child to Work Day events hosted by the SAPS.

The girls enjoyed learning all about careers in the police service, at the Germiston Police Station, on Thursday, as part of the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day. Grade Nine pupils from Germiston High School, Lufuno Muvhango (left) and Doreen Marakalla, enjoyed spending time with the Germiston Railway Police, on Thursday, as part of the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day.

The Germiston SAPS hosted a special function for girls at the Germiston Police Station, on Thursday, in support of the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day. Having some fun are, Evelyn Metheateu (Criminalistic Bureau, left), Const Queen Sibeko (Germiston SAPS Social Crime Prevention Unit), Snothando Khoza (Grade 11 at Besek College), Bontle Mpyana (Grade Nine at Cladelton International College), Rizzia Kayser (Grade 11 at Dinwiddie High School) and Sgt Olga Masethla (Ekurhuleni West Cluster Social Crime Prevention).

The Railway Police: Germiston, based at Germiston Railway Station, hosted 16 girls for the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day initiative, on Thursday. The girls were treated to talks by various policing departments.
