Five New Year’s babies were born in Germiston’s two local hospitals this year.
Staff at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital welcomed three bundles of joy to the world on New Year's Day.
Danielle and Nicolas De Ascensao welcomed their baby girl Kendra to the world at 7.29pm on New Year’s Day at the Life Roseacres Hospital. The little girl weighed 2.94kg at birth and was 49cm in length with a head circumference of 35cm.
Three New Year’s babies were born at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital on Friday. Namfundo Cefa gave birth to a baby girl she named Minenhle at 4.35am. The baby girl weighed 2.57kg at birth and was 49cm in length with a head circumference of 32cm.
Joanna Muderdzwa was born at 9.15am at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital to proud mother Srorai. The little girl weighed 2.76kg at birth and was 49cm in length with a head circumference of 34cm.
Nonhtlatla Sibabini gave birth to a baby boy at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital on New Year’s Day. The baby boy was born at 9.50am and weighed 2.855kg at birth, and was 48cm in length with a head circumference of 33cm.
The Life Roseacres Hospital welcomed two babies to the world on New Year’s Day. The first was baby Mufunwa. He was born at 11.50am to proud parents Khuliso (left) and Alusani Liswoga. He was 3.31kg at birth and was 51cm in length with a head circumference of 23cm.
