Community members share what they love most about winter.
“I love winter clothes, especially boots and coats, and winter colours are not too bright and I like that,” said Khothatso Stona.
“For me, winter is another reminder of how privileged I am to have shelter and blankets to keep me warm; I often think about the less fortunate,” said Margaret Joubert.
Linah Tefo said, “I love winter because of its long nights, warm food and because we spend most of the time with the family indoors.”
“I love winter because I have to play a lot of sports to keep warm and I also love the long holidays in winter,” said Gabriel Hendry (7).

Knowledge Mrema said, “The one thing I love in winter is coffee because it keeps me warm; I drink three cups of coffee a day during winter.”
“I love the food because it is warm and keeps me warm as well; my favourites are coffee and soup, among others,” said Shylet Maphosa.
Lungelo Sithole said, “I love winter because I find it a bit more challenging to dress in summer than I do in winter.”
