A beaming Lerato Motaung welcomed a baby boy to the world, at 2.05am on New Year’s Day. The baby boy, who has not been named yet, was 55cm and weighed 3.695kg at birth with a head circumference of 35cm.
Precious Mojaki was the first mother to welcome a baby boy at 12.55am. The baby boy, named Bawinile, weighed 2.44kg and was 47cm in length at birth, with a head circumference of 30cm.

Jannet Yarsin became the proud mother of a baby girl on New Year’s Day, when she gave birth at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital at 3.55am. Her daughter, who has not been named yet, weighed 2.09kg and was 49cm in length at birth, with a head circumference of 33cm.
Shollen Mahachi became the proud mother of a son on New Year’s Day. The baby boy was born at 3.20am and weighed 2.995kg and was 52cm in length, with a head circumference of 34cm when he was born. After his birth the baby boy was placed in an incubator for observation.
Letitia Smith beamed with pride as she posed with her New Year’s baby. Her daughter, who hasn’t been named yet, was 49cm in length and weighed a healthy 4.035kg at birth, with a head circumference of 35cm.
